The Siemens SXG75 is one of the first UMTS - mobile phones with integrated GPS receiver.
It was announced in March 2005 by the former cell phone manufacturer Siemens Mobile and launched in the fourth quarter of 2005 by BenQ Mobile . Siemens stopped producing cell phones in autumn 2005 and sold the naming rights to the Taiwanese electronics group BenQ , whose cell phone subsidiary BenQ Mobile was liquidated in early 2007 .
In addition to a 2 megapixel camera, the SXG75 has an additional CIF camera for video telephony. In addition to the e-mail client, multimedia messaging ( MMS ) and an XHTML web browser, instant messaging and push-to-talk are also supported. Thanks to the integrated GPS receiver together with a GPRS or UMTS Internet connection, the SXG75 also becomes a complete and always up-to-date navigation system. The pre-installed navigation software from VDO provides visual and acoustic information for navigation and an external GPS mouse is no longer required.
Until further notice, there are no more routes at VDO. Alternative navigation systems for the SXG75 were, for example, the chargeable Falk Activepilot, which was discontinued on April 30, 2010, and the Nav4All, which was discontinued on January 28, 2010 because the Navteq map material could no longer be used.
