The Siffrey Point ( French Cap Siffrey ) is a rocky headland on the north coast of the Trinity Peninsula in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 10 km west-northwest of Cape Dubouzet .
The French navigator and polar explorer Jules Dumont d'Urville named them during the Third French Antarctic Expedition (1837-1840). It is named after M. Sifray [sic] († 1865), head of the Collège de Toulon , where d'Urville's son studied. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred the original name into English on November 21, 1949, taking into account the actual nature of the object.
