Sigvard Parling
Sigvard Emanuel "Sigge" Parling (born March 26, 1930 in Forsbacka , Gästrikland , † September 17, 2016 ) was a Swedish football player .
Career
Parling made his debut in 1949 for Djurgårdens IF in the Allsvenskan . 1955 and 1959 the midfielder was with the club Swedish champions. In the 1961 season he moved to IK Sirius , where he played until 1963. He then played for Gefle IF until his retirement in 1965 .
Parling has been called up to the Swedish national team 39 times . At the 1958 World Cup in his own country, he played all six games and became runner-up after losing 5-2 in the final against Brazil .
