Sigisbert Dolinschek

Sigisbert Dolinschek (born February 18, 1954 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian politician first of the FPÖ , then the BZÖ .

Life

The trained toolmaker (completed his apprenticeship in 1973; master craftsman school 1982–1984) worked for various toolmaking companies in Carinthia as a technical employee until 2001 before he switched full-time into politics.

He began his political career in 1984 as a co-founder of the FPÖ local group in Sankt Margareten im Rosental , where he was also a member of the local council from 1985 to 2003 . From November 1990 to 2013 he was a member of the National Council , where he also worked as a social spokesman. Between January 2005 and January 2007 he was State Secretary in the Austrian Federal Ministry for Social Security and Generations .

Dolinschek was district party chairman of the BZÖ Klagenfurt / Land until July 2008 . He is also the chairman of the BZÖ employees in Carinthia. On March 25, 2011, Dolinschek was appointed managing director of the BZÖ Carinthia in place of Stefan Petzner .

As a member of the National Council, he was a member of the following committees in the legislative period up to 2013: Committee for Labor and Social Affairs, Committee for Consumer Protection, Transport Committee.

After the BZÖ failed in the 2013 National Council election , Dolinschek resigned as state party leader.
