Siegfried Mair
Siegfried (Sigisfredo) Mair (born August 10, 1939 in Toblach ; † May 15, 1977 ) was an Italian toboggan runner .
Siegfried Mair was a member of the Italian toboggan team in the 1960s . He celebrated his greatest success in 1964 at the Olympic Games in Innsbruck when he and Walter Außenendorfer won the bronze medal in the two-seater competition. In 1967 at the Luge World Championships in Hammarstrand , Siegfried Mair and Ernst Mair also won the bronze medal in the two-seater competition.
He died in a car accident in 1977. His brother-in-law, ski racer Bruno Nöckler , also died five years later in a car accident.
