Sigismund Ulrici

Johann Sigismund Ulrici , also Hans Sigismund Ulrici (* late 17th century, † November 5, 1758 in Torgau ) was a German builder and cartographer .

Life

Johann Sigismund Ulrici was a son of the doctor Johann Heinrich Ulrici (1666–1731) and of Johanna Elisabeth geb. Hermann (1674-1739). Ulrici worked from 1720 to 1726 as master banners and from 1733 to 1758 as councilor in Torgau. In addition, from 1745 to 1752 he was council builder for four periods and three city judges.

Ulrici was married to Anna Margaretha born in Torgau. Walther († 1744). In the year of her death, on October 27th, he married the widow Regina Elisabeth Schantz, nee. Franz who survived him until 1767.

From Ulrici's work as a cartographer, several maps and sketches, which he usually artistically decorated with many small border graphics of buildings, etc., have been preserved in museums.
