Sigismund of Weimar-Orlamünde

Sigismund von Weimar-Orlamünde († 1447 ) was a count from a late branch line of the Ascanian counts of Orlamünde .

He was the son of Otto vor dem Walde and Luchard († 1405), daughter of Heinrich VII., Vogt of Gera . Through continuous divisions of the inheritance, Sigismund came into the possession of the Lichtenberg rule , including the castle and extensive rights. He sold this property to Caspar von Waldenfels in 1427 .
