Sigitas Šiupšinskas

Sigitas Šiupšinskas (born August 14, 1964 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

After graduating from high school, he completed his diploma studies at the Kauno politechnikos institutas in 1987 and at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas in 2007 . In 1992 he was the deputy head of the Juodšiliai settlement in the Vilnius district . In 1993 he was an advisor to the Lithuanian Government Chancellery . In 1998 he headed the Association of Lithuanian Municipalities ( Lietuvos savivaldybių asociacija ). From 2005 he was advisor to the Lithuanian President, from 2009 to the Interior Minister at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania , from May 2009 to 2012 Vice Minister of the Interior .

From 2014 he is a member of the liberal party Lietuvos laisvės sąjunga (liberalai) .

He is married. He and his wife Rita have a daughter, Urtė.
