Sigitas Kaktys

Sigitas Kaktys (born April 15, 1956 in Puokė , Skuodas district ) is a Lithuanian politician.

Life

After graduating from the Viekšniai Middle School in the district of Akmenė in 1974 , he completed his studies at the Kauno medicinos institutas in 1980 . From 1981 he worked in the Mažeikiai hospital . From 1990 to 1995 he was deputy chairman of the council of deputies (deputy mayor), from 1995 to 1996 mayor of the Mažeikiai district . From 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the Seimas and from 1999 to 2000 Minister for Administrative Reforms and Community Affairs in the Paksas I cabinet .

Until 1989 he was a member of the CPSU , from 1993 of the Tėvynės Sąjunga - Lietuvos krikščionys demokratai .

He is married. With his wife Vilija he has the sons Aurimas, Jotautas and Tautvilas and the daughters Aušra and Eglė.
