Sigurd Lunde (born April 27, 1916 , † January 21, 2006 ) was a Norwegian Lutheran bishop , composer , writer , editor and radio man .

After Lunde was ordained , he studied journalism in the United States . In 1942 he was hired by the Norwegian Mission Society to work from 1946 as editor of the weekly magazine Norsk misjonstidende . From 1952 to 1966 he was the editor responsible for the religious programs of the Norwegian radio station NRK and founded the program Salmer og sanger (psalms and chants). In 1976 Lunde was appointed Bishop of Stavanger ; an office that he held until his retirement in 1986.

From 1972 Lunde edited the new Norwegian church hymnbook . He also composed and wrote hymns himself.

His son is the television journalist Einar Lunde (* 1943).
