The Sikorski Glacier is a glacier on the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows north of Charles Point into Hughes Bay .
Aerial photographs of the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition (1956–1957) were used for mapping by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1960 after the Russian-US aviation pioneer Igor Ivanovich Sikorski (1898–1972), founder of the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation , who had worked on the development of helicopters from 1909 onwards .
