Sikypark is an animal park in Crémines in the Bernese Jura in Switzerland .
location
The park is located between Crémines and Gänsbrunnen in a side valley of the Raustal , on Hauptstrasse 30 . The park is easily accessible by public transport from the Crémines Zoo stop on the Solothurn – Moutier railway line .
history
The zoo was founded by the local entrepreneur Siegfried Roos as Siky Ranch in 1972.
- From 1996 to 2014 the system was run by the tamer Jerry Wegman. The white tigers were a specialty .
- In 2014 the system was sold to the falconers Christoph and Mélanie Keller.
- In 2018, the big cats were integrated into the converted facility by trainer Rene Strickler. The zoo is now called Sikypark .
