Silke Wittkopp

Silke Wittkopp (* 1972 in Hameln ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Administrative Court .

After completing her law studies , Wittkopp received her degree from the University of Freiburg in 1999 with the work on European administrative law Determination of the facts in community administrative law: An investigation into the influences of European community law on the determination of facts in German administrative proceedings - at the same time a contribution to the dogmatics of community administrative law for Dr. iur. PhD. After her second state examination, Wittkopp joined the higher judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in November 2000 and was initially employed at the Cologne Administrative Court. There she was appointed judge at the administrative court in November 2003. From 2004 to December 2006 she was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant and from September 2008 to December 2010 to the Federal Administrative Court. Immediately after her second secondment, she was appointed judge at the Higher Administrative Court in January 2011 and assigned to the Higher Administrative Court in Münster . Until January 2015 she was also seconded to the Constitutional Court of North Rhine-Westphalia .

In March 2016, Wittkopp was elected judge at the Federal Administrative Court. She took up her position on August 2, 2016 and was assigned to the 1st Review Senate of the Federal Administrative Court , which was responsible for immigration law, asylum law, nationality law and association law .
