Sillod is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra .

The city is part of the Aurangabad District . Sillod has Municipal Council status . The city is divided into 23 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had a total of 58,230 inhabitants, of which 30,074 were men and 28,156 women. Muslims form the largest group of the city's population with a share of over 47%, followed by Hindus with over 47%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 83.32%, well above the national average.
