Silver Party
The Silver Party ( " Silver Party ") was a party in the USA , mainly in 1900 in Nevada was successful where they put two governors. The core theme of her political ideology was bimetallism , which she linked with her most important coalition partner in America, the Populist Party . Most of the party's activists switched to the Democrats after their decline.
The party was formed on September 15, 1892 at a conference of the Nevada Silver League in Winnemucca . In the US presidential election in 1892 , the party's 3 electors elected for Nevada support the Populist Party's candidate, James B. Weaver . In 1893, the party sent former Republican William M. Stewart to the US Senate . Stewart was at the forefront of the electoral success of the party, which as a small party took over almost the entire state apparatus of Nevada, including the office of governor by John Edward Jones , which, however, hindered the state nationally isolated and federal economic aid.
