Winnemucca is county seat and the only city in Humboldt County of the US state Nevada . At the time of the United States Census 2000 , Winnemucca had 7,174 residents. On September 19, 1900, the town was the site of a bank robbery by the gang of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, known as the Wild Bunch .
