Simeis 147 (also Simeiz 147 or Spaghettinebel , S147 for short ; further designation: Sh2-240 ) is a galactic supernova remnant in the constellations Taurus and Carter .

S147 has an apparent expansion of about 3 degrees; this corresponds to an extension of approximately 140 light years at a distance of an estimated 3000 light years. Its age is given as around 40,000 years.
