Simon Barrett
Simon Barrett (* 1978 in Columbia , Missouri ) is an American actor , screenwriter , director and film producer . He often works with Adam Wingard .
Life
Barrett began his career with the short film The Nothing Deal , for which he was responsible for the script, direction, production, camera and editing. Together with Scott Clevenger , he wrote the script for the 2004 horror film Frankenfish . He worked with director Alex Turner on the horror films Dead Birds (2004) and Red Sands (2009). In 2010 Barrett first worked with Adam Wingard on A Horrible Way to Die . The next year they worked together with You're Next . Also in 2011 were the films Autoerotic (directors: Adam Wingard and Joe Swanberg ) and What Fun We Were Having (director: Adam Wingard).
In 2012, Barrett wrote the script for an episode of Wingard's The ABCs of Death . He was a screenwriter and actor in two episodes of the found footage horror film V / H / S - A Murderous Collection . On the film's sequel, S-VHS from 2013, Barrett scripted two episodes and also directed one.
For The Guest , Barrett worked again with Adam Wingard in 2014. In 2016 he also wrote the screenplay for Wingard's Blair Witch .
