Simon Gächter

Simon Gächter (born March 8, 1965 in Nenzing , Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian economist.

Life

Simon Gächter studied economics at the University of Vienna and philosophy at the University of Vienna. He received his doctorate in economics in 1994 and worked as an assistant at the universities of Vienna, Linz and Zurich. From 2000 to 2005 he was a full professor of economics at the University of St. Gallen . Since February 2005, he has been Full Professor of Economic Decision Psychology at the Center for Economic Decision Research and Experimental Economics at the University of Nottingham .

Gächter researches primarily in the intersection of economics and psychology.
