Simon Morris (football player)

Simon Morris (* 1969 / 1970 ) is a former Canadian - British football player .

Life

The from Kamloops (province of British Columbia ) originating Morris played from 1988 to 1993 at the Simon Fraser University while he Criminology studied. In 1993 he moved to the Hamburg Blue Devils in the football Bundesliga . The 1.78 meter wide receiver played in Hamburg alongside Dino Bucciol and Bruce Reid , who had already been his teammates at the university. Morris was a member of the Hamburg Blue Devils until the end of the 1999 season, was German champions with the team in 1996 and Eurobowl winners in 1996, 1997 and 1998 . In 1996 he was named the best player in the Eurobowl.

After his football career, Morris stayed in Germany and initially worked for a sporting goods retailer and then in the food industry as a manager in sales and distribution.
