Simon Richardson MBE (born November 10, 1966 in Porthcawl , Wales ) is a British cyclist and multiple medalist at the Paralympic Games in Beijing .

Richardson was hit by a car during cycling training in 2001 and suffered severe leg and back injuries. Three years later, on the advice of the doctors, he started cycling again.

In 2008 he took part in the Paralympic Games in Beijing and was able to win a gold medal in the track race in the 1 km time trial (LC 3-4) and set a new world record with 1: 14.936 minutes. Two days later, on September 9th, he won his second gold medal in the single pursuit (LC 3). In the individual time trial (LC 3) on September 12th, Richardson won silver behind Laurent Thirionet .

Richardson is married with two children.
