Simon Schouten (born December 7, 1990 in Andijk ) is a Dutch speed skater .

Career

Schouten made his debut in the Speed ​​Skating World Cup at the beginning of the 2017/18 season in Stavanger and finished 11th in the B World Cup over 10,000 m. This was followed by two top ten placements in the mass start. He won his first World Cup victory in Minsk and finished fourth in the Mass Start World Cup at the end of the season. At the 2018 European Championships in Kolomna , he won the gold medal in the team pursuit. He also finished sixth there over 5000 m and fourth in the mass start.
