Simona Monyová (born March 17, 1967 in Brno ; † August 3, 2011 in Brno- Obřany ) was a Czech author .

Life

Monyová started writing at the age of 15 and later made it her profession. The subject of her romantic narratives and relationship dramas, aimed at a female readership, were love, passion, sex, jealousy and intrigue. Since 1997 she has published 25 books, which achieved high circulation in the Czech Republic and became bestsellers . Since 2002, Monyová and her second husband Boris Ingr have been running their own publishing house, where their books have been published. Her novel Tchyně a uzený… formed the basis for the television film of the same name.

Monyová was found dead in her home with stab wounds after an emergency call on the night of August 3rd to 4th, 2011. This was apparently preceded by a dispute with Boris Ingr, who was arrested as an urgent suspect .

She was married twice and had three sons, two of whom were from her first marriage.
