Simone Sommerland, Karsten Glück and the Kita-Fösche is a German children's music project.
history
Simone and Karsten Stiers met in the 1990s at the amateur theater in Wetter (Ruhr) . Both have been active as actors before, but above all as singers solo or with different bands and in different genres. Musically, both usually go their separate ways. From the age of 17 Simone sang for the The Smurfs albums , her husband was involved from 2002 to 2005, even if their voices were not recognizable alienated. At Fix and Foxi they sang together on the soundtrack of another comic book series.
In 2010 the idea arose to record a CD with popular children's songs. Simone and Karsten Stiers recorded the CD entitled The 30 best play and movement songs for the Berlin music label Lamp & Menschen (a label of Lamp and Sumfleth Entertainment GmbH) . Her oldest daughter Paula and two other children also took part. For the publication they called themselves Simone Sommerland, Karsten Glück & die Kita-Fösche. In March 2011 the CD made the leap into the German album charts and from then on developed into a long-running hit. In 2012 it was awarded gold for 100,000 and in July 2014 platinum for 200,000 copies. At this point she was in the charts for two and a half years with interruptions.
When the success became apparent, those responsible decided to record more CDs in this style. This was followed by The 30 best learning songs to sing along to and The 30 best traditional children's songs as well as a DVD for the first album recorded with the daycare children. At the end of the year, The 30 Best Christmas and Winter Songs appeared , which brought them to the second chart position. The series was continued continuously, and so in six years 23 albums were created, eight of which made it into the German album charts. From the end of 2013 the CD series was also released in Austria and was also successful in the charts there.
Since November 2013, the Universal label has been releasing books and audio books with fairy tales and bedtime stories as part of the series Die 30 Beste ... which are told by voice actors.
Biographies
- Simone Stiers (born Seuthe , * approx. 1976)
- At the age of nine she played for the first time in a stage musical and later embarked on a music career. Her first own CD was created at the age of 17, three years later she was touring with Jasmin Wagner alias Blümchen .
- In the 1990s she studied jazz and popular music and then worked as a professional singer at events and appeared on television as an accompanist for other artists. She is also a member of several ensembles of various styles from jazz to rock.
- In 2007 she founded a music school in Wetter-Volmarstein , where children and adults are taught singing and playing instruments.
- Karsten Stiers (* 1972)
- He trained as a graphic designer and started his own business in the profession.
- Musically, he started in a thrash metal - band called Requirements as a guitarist and singer. He later had initial successes with the rock band Soulbrother from Wuppertal , including as a tour accompanist for Psychotic Waltz . Before it could become a professional musician career, however, the band broke up.
- He then tried his hand at acting successfully as an actor and musical actor and worked professionally as a studio singer and graphic artist. He is also touring with several bands and has been the singer of the Hamburg rock band Errorhead since 2014 .
