Simone Vitale (born March 1, 1986 in Sora ) is an Italian soccer player who has been under contract with Pescara Calcio in Serie B since 2007 .
Career
Simone Vitale began his career at Pescara Calcio , where he was accepted into the professional squad for the 2004/05 season and completed four Serie B games by the end of the season . The defender made his professional debut on September 11, 2004 in the home game against Piacenza Calcio , the game was lost 2-1 and at the end of the season he did not relegate to Serie C1 with Pescara only because of the forced relegation of CFC Genoa . In the summer of 2005 he left the club and signed with the fourth division club FC Pro Vasto . There he played 27 league games in his first season and scored one goal. In the following season, the defender was part of the regular squad and played in 30 games for Pro Vasto.
In the summer of 2007 Vitale returned to Pescara by signing a contract with the Biancoazzurri . While he practically completed every league game for the team in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons, he lost his regular place on the defensive of Delfini in the 2009/10 season . On January 24, 2010, after being substituted on for the 73rd minute in the away game at AS Pescina Valle del Giovenco, he scored both goals for Pescara within seven minutes.
At the end of the 2009/10 season, he was promoted to the second division with Pescara. In the play-off finals, the team prevailed against Hellas Verona .
