Simones Maria Hubertus Tellings

Simones Maria Hubertus ("Ben") Tellings (born May 27, 1956 in Breda ) is a Dutch manager. From 2003 to 2010 he was CEO of ING-DiBa and subsequently became Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Tellings studied law (without a degree) in Tilburg . After various positions in Dutch insurance companies and banks from 1991 to 1997, Ben Tellings was Deputy General Manager from 1998 to 2001, responsible for developing ING Direct's direct banking activities in Spain and France. He then went to Frankfurt as a member of the board of ING-DiBa, where he took over the chairmanship of Bernhard Hafner on August 1, 2003 . In addition, in 2006 he was appointed to the Executive Board of ING Direct NV as well as to the Management Council and the Leadership Council of ING Groep . In 2010, Ben Tellings moved from chairing the board to the ING-DiBa supervisory board, where he became chairman. His successor as CEO of ING-DiBa was Roland Boekhout on October 1, 2010 . On July 18, 2016, Tellings resigned as chairman of the board.

In addition to his role as chairman of the supervisory board of ING-DiBa, Tellings was briefly head of the Dutch application committee, which was to bring the Olympic Games to the Netherlands on behalf of the Dutch government.

Tellings is married with two children.
