Simple Desktop Display Manager ( SDDM ) is a display manager (graphical session manager ) for the X Window System X11 and Wayland . SDDM is written from the ground up in C ++ 11 and supports topics in QML . SDDM is free software and is subject to the provisions of the GNU General Public License Version 2.

commitment

In 2013 the Fedora project decided to use SDDM in Fedora 21 as the default display manager. The SDDM is also in use in Kubuntu from version 15.04.

KDE chose SDDM as the successor to the KDE Display Manager for KDE Plasma 5 .

The LXQt developers recommend SDDM as the display manager.
