The Singer 16 was a mid-range car that Singer built from 1935 to 1937 as the successor to the 2 liter .

The car had a six-cylinder in - line engine with 1993 cm³ displacement (bore × stroke = 65 mm × 100 mm). In contrast to its predecessor, the engine had an overhead camshaft . Together with the 1½ liter Le Mans sports car built at the same time , this was the last car built by Singer with a six-cylinder engine. In contrast to this sports car, the model 16 had independent front suspension. The rear, driven rigid axle, suspended on longitudinal leaf springs, it had in common with the Le Mans.

The car, with its body as a limousine, reached a top speed of 104 km / h.

In 1937 the 16 was discontinued without a successor.
