Sinharaja Forest
Sinharaja Forest (also: Singharaja) is a tropical lowland rainforest in southwest Sri Lanka .
The Sinharaja- National Park has been one in 1988 to UNESCO - World Heritage is one of the last great forest regions of the island and the area is famous for its immense. Biodiversity and numerous endemic species .
The 6092-hectare forest is located on the geographical coordinates of 6 ° 22 '50 " N , 80 ° 28' 14" O .
It is located at heights between 300 and 1170 meters above sea level (Hinipitigala Peak).
