Sinziger is a mineral water that is produced by Sinziger Mineralbrunnen GmbH in Sinzig and was used at times for a swimming pool.

history

The Sinziger spring was discovered and collected in 1853 and the first bottles of mineral water were delivered to Bonn . A bathing establishment was fed from the spring from 1857.

In 1865, after a severance payment was made by a competing company, the production of mineral water and the spa in Sinzig were discontinued for several decades.

In 1921 the fountain was exposed again and a bath house was set up. The bath was ceremoniously reopened in 1927. Since 1929 Sinziger has been bottled and sold again .

The bathing operation was discontinued 197 times and the swimming pool leveled.

In 2005, Sinziger Mineralbrunnen GmbH was taken over by Franken Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG . The production of the water continues to take place in Sinzig.

The Sinzig open-air swimming pool has historically been closely associated with mineral water. The bath was fed from the spring and was characterized by the clear and fresh water.
