The Franken Brunnen GmbH & Co. KG is a mineral water company based in Neustadt an der Aisch in Bavaria . In 2017 the company had a filling volume of 594 million liters. The turnover of around 140.6 million euros was generated by 704 employees.
history
In 1932 the Hufnagel family began bottling mineral water in Neustadt an der Aisch and sold it in the regional area. Due to increased demand, in addition to the headquarters in the same district, another company was founded in Bad Windsheim in 1967 .
The water from the Theresienquelle has been bottled in the new factory in Bad Kissingen since 1988 . Franken Brunnen also took over the exclusive filling and marketing of the Almdudler herbal lemonade for southern Germany from 1990 to 2009. Since 2016, Franken Brunnen has been filling the 0.35 l Almdudler glass bottle and selling it in Germany.
In 1991 the company opened another production facility in Saxony Eilenburg that Saxony Source GmbH, and from there distributes the brand Ileburger Sachsenquelle .
Production rose to a filling volume of one million bottles by 1975. The sales area was extended from the surrounding area to all of Bavaria. The cheap brands Basinus the 100% Frankenbrunnen subsidiary GHL Noris GmbH, Bonaris source (Neustadt / Aisch), sinusoidal source (Eilenburg) and Coronation source (Bad Windsheim), as well as the soft drinks of the same name and continues the brand Cascada , part of the portfolio the company.

- 2011 Acquisition of more than 95% in Allgäuer Alpenwasser AG and squeeze-out of the minority shareholders at EUR 1 per share. The location in Oberstaufen was sold on December 31, 2014 and will continue to be run as Allgäuer Alpenwasser GmbH under a new owner.
Franken Brunnen is the main shareholder of OberSelters Mineralbrunnen Vertriebs GmbH, which also belongs to the city of Bad Camberg .

Franken Brunnen sponsors the soccer clubs 1. FC Nürnberg , Würzburger Kickers and SpVgg Greuther Fürth as well as the triathlon event Challenge Roth .
