Siyani Chambers (born December 14, 1993 in Golden Valley ) is an American basketball player .

biography

Chambers won the 2010 and 2011 Minnesota State Championship with the Hopkins High School basketball team . In 2012 he was the team captain and was named to the Minnesota All-Star Team and named Mr. Basketball of that year in the state of Minnesota.

From 2012 was Chambers of the Harvard Crimson , the college basketball - Ivy League -Mannschaft of Harvard University . In its inaugural season, he was named "Rookie of the Year" of the league. In summer 2015 he tore a cruciate ligament and therefore missed the 2015/16 season. After four seasons (2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2016/17), in which he had partly acted as team captain, he was not considered in the 2017 NBA draft . In total, he played 119 games for Harvard, in which he was 117 times in the starting line-up and averaged 10.8 points and 5.1 basket assists.

From autumn 2017 Chambers was in the squad of the Austrian Bundesliga club Raiffeisen Flyers Wels . There he was the second best scorer of his team in the course of the 2017/18 game year with an average of 14.9 points per game and leading in this category with 5.3 assists per match. In August 2018 he moved to the Gießen 46ers in the German basketball league . The American remained a supplementary player in Giessen (29 Bundesliga appearances: 3.7 points / game), and during the 2019 summer break he moved to the Dutch first division club Den Bosch.
