The Sjögren Inlet is about 15 km long bay in the north of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located north of the Longing Peninsula and extends in an east-southeast direction to the Prince Gustav Canal . It was exposed by the sharp retreat of the Sjogren glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2006 based on the name of the glacier of the same name. Its namesake is the Swedish geologist Hjalmar Sjögren (1856–1922), a supporter of the Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903) under the direction of Otto Nordenskjöld .
