Sjur Tollefsen

Sjur Bø Tollefsen (born March 27, 1969 ) is a former Norwegian handball player .

Career

The 1.90 m tall left-hander was used as the right back player and right wing player. In his home country he played for Skien BK and until 1996 for IL Runar Sandefjord , with whom he won the 1996 cup. With the Danish club GOG Gudme , he won the 1997 cup. He then came to the German handball league for the newly promoted LTV Wuppertal . After one season he joined the ThSV Eisenach . After two years in Thuringia, he returned to Runar in 2000. After hardly playing for Runar due to injuries, he moved back to Elverum Håndball in 2003 after a break of almost two years , where he was reunited with his former team-mate from Wuppertal, Stig Rasch .

In the Norwegian national team Tollefsen made his debut on March 9, 1991 and played a total of 104 international matches until 1998 , in which he scored 243 goals. He could not qualify for an international tournament during this time.
