The Skäfehögen

The Skäfehögen (also called Skävehögen or Sjöhögen ) is a Bronze Age burial mound in Malmö -Fosie in Skåne in Sweden . In older sources it is referred to as Giedelövs.

The approximately seven meter high hill is on the north side of an elevation. At the top there was an old road that ran from Lund to the coast of Oresund . According to one theory, the road could go back to the Bronze Age because it ran close to the Bronze Age hills. The hills, including the Borrebacke, the hills of Fosie and Husie, the Kungshögarna of Malmö-Oxie and the Skumparpsbacken, are the size of the Skäfehögen.

Excavations south of Skäfehög have uncovered an urn burial ground from the Late Bronze Age next to the road .
