The Skamrigletscher (also Insgaiti ) located in the eastern Karakoram in annexed by China Trans-Karakoram Tract .
The Skamrigletscher has a length of 40 km. It flows in an easterly direction, separating the Panmah Muztagh in the south from the Wesm Mountains in the north. Larger tributary glaciers are Crown Glacier , Southern and Northern Skamrigletscher . The most important mountains in the glacier catchment area are Huang Guan Shan ( The Crown ) (7295 m) and Skamri Sar (6763 m). The Skamrigletscher feeds a tributary of the Shaksgam . The explorer Francis Younghusband christened the glacier Crevasse Glacier ( crevasse English for crevasse).
