The Huang Guan Shan ( Chinese  皇冠 山 , Pinyin Huáng Guān Shān  - "Kaiserkronenberg"; also The Crown , English for "the crown") is a 7295  m high mountain in the central Karakoram in the autonomous region of Xinjiang ( People's Republic of China ).

location

It is the highest point of the Wesm Mountains (also Yengisogat ).

Ascent history

The first ascent was made in 1993 by a Japanese expedition over the east face. On July 22nd, Akito Yamasaki, Yasuyuki Aritomi and Kazuo Tokushima reached the summit. They were followed on July 27 by Hideki Sakai, Tetsuya Abe, Mikio Suzuki and Kunihito Nakagawa. On July 28th, Masato Kameda, Masanori Nakashima, Hitoshi Miyasaka and Shinya Sasamori were at the summit and on July 29th Masanori Natsume, Kiyoshi Matsuoka and Tetsuya Hasegawa.
