Skansbron is a double bascule bridge in the Swedish capital Stockholm .
The bridge is located in the south of the Södermalm district . It is almost 65 meters long and 15 meters wide. It runs parallel to the Johanneshovsbron . The bridge connects Södermalm with the Södra district of Hammarbyhamnen . The bridge was built from 1923 to 1925.
Originally the bridge was also used for tram traffic . After the opening of the tunnel bana , however, the rails were removed.
