Johanneshovsbron

Johanneshovsbron is a road bridge in the Swedish capital, Stockholm . It is located south of the Södermalm district and crosses the Hammarby Canal . The bridge was opened on October 9, 1984.

The Johanneshovsbron has a length of 756 meters and a width of 17.90 meters, the bridge clearance height is 32.0 meters at average water level, the average span between the pillars is about 51 meters. It spans the Skansbron and Skanstullsbron , two other bridges that were inaugurated in 1925 and 1947, respectively. The Kvarnbron , which was built between 2000 and 2002, is still located here .

The Johanneshovsbron connects Södermalm with the Johanneshov district , as well as the Riksväg 73 , an important arterial road from the city to the south towards Nynäshamn . The bridge is part of the north-south connection running through the center, which runs north of the Söderledstunnel over the Centralbron , further north to the Stockholm Ring .
