Place name

To distinguish it from the old village of Malchow (Malechowo), the colony was named Neu Malchow , until the 20th century the first Malchow was sometimes also called Alt Malchow .

history

Since it was founded, Neu Malchow has been divided into the two parts of Neu Malchow A and Neu Malchow B , to which the third district was broad moor (3 courtyards).

Neu Malchow A - a settlement with nine farmsteads - was located north of the old Reichsstraße 2. This part was also called Buschzeile .

South of Reichsstraße 2 was Neu Malchow B , consisting of a windmill (demolished after 1945) directly on the road, and 200 meters south of it the so-called middle row with ten farms ( broad moor also belonged here ). Another 400 meters south was the upper row with 16 establishments.

The settlements Neu Malchow A and B were created on the state domain (previously the monastic and princely farmyard) after 1810 as part of the Stein-Hardenberg reforms. Farmers from Malchow (Malechowo), Martinshagen (Grabowo) and Parpart (Paproty) previously had to work together on this ritterfreyen farm .

The settled area was about 480 hectares in 1784. Until 1945, Neu Malchow A and B were part of the municipality (Alt-) Malchow, which formed its own official and registry office district and belonged to the Schlawe district court area . It was the district of Schlawe i. Pom. in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After 1945 the two parts of Neu Malchow were combined under the Polish name Malechówko and assigned as a district of Gmina Malechowo in the Powiat Sławieński of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( Köslin Voivodeship until 1998 ). Not quite 200 people live here.

church

Ecclesiastically, Neu Malchow A and B belonged to the Protestant parish Malchow ( Altmalchow ) in the parish of Rügenwalde in the church province of Pomerania of the Church of the Old Prussian Union before 1945 . The last German clergyman was Pastor Otto Nitschalk .

After 1945 Malechówko was integrated into the Catholic parish Malechowo in the deanery Sławno in the diocese of Köslin-Kolberg . Protestant church members living here are assigned to the parish of Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church .

school

The one-class school from Neu Malchow A and B stood in the middle of the two suburbs. The last German headmaster was teacher Daske .
