Nowy Żytnik (German New Mill ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the rural community Malechowo ( Malchow ) in the powiat Sławieński ( Schlawe district ).
Geographical location
Nowy Żytnik located on the Province Straße 205 ( Darłowo ( Rügenwalde ) - Sławno ( Schlawe ) - Polanów ( Pollnow ) - Bobolice ( Bublitz )) directly at the mouth of the road connecting Lejkowo ( Leikow ) and Zielenica ( Söllnitz ) in the valley of Grabowa ( Grabow ). The place is bordered by Bagno Ostrowiec ( Wusterwitzer Moor ) in the east, by Drzeńsko ( Drenzig ) in the south, by Zielica ( Söllnitz ) and Białęcino ( Balenthin ) in the west and Ostrowiec ( Wusterwitz ) in the north.
history
Before 1945, Neue Mühle was a more than 200 year old, wood-paneled house for foresters and forest workers belonging to the Balenthin Forestry Administration (Białęcino). To the west of the thoroughfare stood an eight-hectare leasehold, next to it on the Grabow a water-powered power station that belonged to Gut Deutsch Puddiger (Podgórki) and supplied this village.
Until 1945, Neue Mühle was part of the municipality of Wusterwitz (Ostrowiec), which together with Balenthin (Białęcino) formed the Wusterwitz office. It belonged to the district of Schlawe i. Pom. in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania . Regarding the registry office , the place was oriented towards Żegocino ( Segenthin ), and the competent district court was Schlawe. Today Nowy Żytnik is part of the Polish rural community Malechowo in the Powiat Sławieński of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (until 1998 Köslin Voivodeship ).

Ecclesiastically was Neuemühle until 1945 a part of the evangelical church Wusterwitz (Ostrowiec) in the same parish , that the parish of Schlawe the Prussian Union of churches belonged. Today Nowy Żytnik is also part of the now Roman Catholic parish Ostrowiec in the Sławno deanery in the Köslin-Kolberg diocese of the Catholic Church in Poland . Protestant residents are today assigned to the parish Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
