Paprotki (German Neu Parpart ) is a small town in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . He belongs to the rural community Malechowo ( Malchow ) in the powiat Sławieński ( Schlawe ).

Geographical location

Paprotki is 14 kilometers southwest of the district town of Sławno and can be reached via a cul-de-sac from the side road between Malechowo and Ostrowiec ( Wusterwitz ). The place is nestled between the villages of Malechowo, Karwiczki ( Neu Karwitz ) and Żegocino ( Segenthin ). In the south the Grabowa ( Grabow ) forms the border.

history

In contrast to the very old village of Parpart (Polish: Paproty), New Parpart was only created in 1810. Before 1945 there were up to 21 households with four large and 16 medium-sized farms and 1 school. The small village has no town center, but is laid out as a scattered settlement that was home to around 100 people. Most of the land came from the Rubow Schulzenhof in Parpart.

New Parpart was assigned to the Parpart community and thus belonged to the Malchow office and registry office and the Schlawe district court area . It was in the district of Schlawe i. Pom. in the administrative district of Köslin in the Prussian province of Pomerania .

After 1945, Neu Parpart became the Polish town of Paprotki in Gmina Malechowo in the Powiat Sławieński of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (until 1998 Köslin Voivodeship).

church

Before 1945, Paprotki was ecclesiastically in the catchment area of Malchow in the parish of Rügenwalde in the church province of Pomerania of the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union . The reference to Malechowo was retained after 1945, of course now as a member of the Catholic deanery Sławno in the diocese of Köslin-Kolberg .

school

The one-class school in Neu Parpart was attached to the school in Parpart in 1931.
