The Skansen Gottwaldówka (German farm museum Gottwaldhof ) is a historic Glatzer four-sided farm in Kąty Bystrzyckie ( Winkeldorf ) in the south of the powiat Kłodzki ( Glatz district ) in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland . It is four kilometers southwest of Lądek-Zdrój ( Bad Landeck ), to whose town and country municipality it belongs.

Prehistory - “Derhääme Häusla” with home parlor

The history of the “Lerchenfeld guest house” and the “Derhääme Häusla with home parlor” began in 1981 with the purchase of an old small farm. It was in a dilapidated state, but had a beautiful location in the so-called Lerchenfeld on a gentle slope, with a view of the valley and the surrounding mountains.

The owners at the time repaired it and discovered the age of the building, the church in the nearby village of Winkeldorf and also the existing but abandoned courtyards. Visitors, mostly former German residents of the near and far, brought the owners closer to former life with their childhood memories and through stories from childhood about everyday life, festivals and customs. The acquaintance with a resident from Gompersdorf near Seitenberg had the result that a "Grafschaft Glatzer Bauernstube" was set up on site in Lerchenfeld. Although it was not intended to create a museum, the small building was renovated and furnished and named “Derhääme Häusla”. Inside there is a tiled stove with an oven bench and oven bars, an open cupboard decorated with lace and in the corner above the table a corner of God . This shows a historically typical Glatzer farmhouse parlor.

The beginnings of this small local history museum were supplemented by local and folkloric activities: lessons were given in living history, and young people were told about the life and tradition of the former County of Glatz and its residents. In addition, courses in Silesian whitework were organized and appropriate costumes were sewn for the children's choir of the elementary school in Bad Landeck.

Creation of the Skansen Gottwaldówka ( Gottwaldhof )

The visitor groups and courses soon took the “Derhääme Häusla” home parlor to its spatial limits. That is why it was decided to repair the run-down "Gottwaldhof", a few kilometers away, which had previously been an estate for free judges . After another 20 years with additional investments and the collection of exhibits, the Gottwaldhof became a small farm museum. Its interior shows the condition as it was left by the former German residents at the end of the Second World War . It is managed by the owners of the Pension Lerchenfeld and the Derhääme Häuslas .

The Gottwaldhof now serves as a meeting place for larger groups as well as for smaller exhibitions and also offers some overnight accommodation in connection with the Pension Lerchenfeld .
