Skarpnäck is an underground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Skarpnäcks Gård district . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . It is the final stop of the T17 line on the Gröna linjen. The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. 7,000 commuters get on here on a normal working day.
The station was put into operation on August 15, 1994 as the 100th and last station of the Tunnelbana, when the underground section of the Gröne linjen between Bagarmossen – Skarpnäck was inaugurated. This was also the last section that was rebuilt for the Tunnelbana. The platforms are about 25 meters underground. It is around nine kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
