Skatval
Skatval is a village in the municipality of Stjørdal in the province of Trøndelag , Norway .
The village has about 1500 inhabitants on an area of 94 km². It is located on a peninsula on the eastern bank of the Trondheimfjord , south of the famous Steinvikholmen Castle , between Åsenfjord in the west, Fættenfjord in the north and Lofjord in the south. The local area is divided, from the north clockwise, into Langstein, Nordbygda, Sørbygda, Midtbygda, and Vassbygda.
