Skawina Trench

The Skawina Graben ( Rów Skawiński in Polish ) in Poland is a long valley in the west-east direction in the southern part of the Kraków Gate in the Northern Subcarpathian Mountains . It is approx. 22 km long and up to 2 km wide.

The Krakow Gate is traversed in a west-east direction by the Łączany Canal , part of the Upper Vistula waterway (Polish Droga Wodna Górnej Wisły ). To the south is the Pogórze Wielickie . In the north are the Cholerzyn Depression and the Kraków Land Bridge .

The Kraków Gate is densely populated and hardly forested. The most important place is the eponymous Skawina .
