Bernd Steinbrink

Bernd Steinbrink (born November 23, 1951 in Fischbeck / Weser ) is a media scientist , journalist and author of several books.

biography

Steinbrink attended the Schiller-Gymnasium in Hameln and studied German , philosophy and political science in Hanover . a. with Hans Mayer, Gert Ueding , Wolfgang Promies , Gerd-Günther Grau , Oskar Negt and Peter Brokmeier . In 1980 he received his doctorate from the University of Oldenburg . Steinbrink worked as a research assistant at the Institute for General Rhetoric at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . He later became a professor for media system technology at the University of Technology, Economics and Culture in Leipzig , then at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences . His focus was on media technology , multimedia applications and media theory . He is a member of the scientific advisory board of "Language for Form" . He has been retired since 2017.

He wrote articles for the literature section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung under Marcel Reich-Ranicki , the axis of the good and technical journals such as c't , Byte , European Computer Sources and Mémoires Optiques and is the author of several books on literary history , digital media and rhetoric .
