The 2017 Skeleton Junior World Championship was the 15th edition of the Skeleton Junior World Championship and took place between January 24 and 28, 2017 in the Latvian city of Sigulda on the Sigulda luge track. In the women’s category , Julija Kanakina was able to secure her first world title, and in the men’s category, Nikita Tregubov , a skeleton pilot, was three times junior world champion. In addition, both winners came from Russia for the first time.
