The constituency of Geithain - Borna II was a state electoral district for the state elections in Saxony in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Saxony. Its constituency number was 16.
The constituency comprised 8 communities from the Borna district and all cities and communities in the Geithain district : Altmörbitz , Bad Lausick , Ballendorf , Benndorf , Breitenborn , Buchheim , Dolsenhain , Dreiskau-Muckern , Ebersbach , Eschefeld , Eula , Flößberg , Frankenhain , Frauendorf , Frohburg , Geithain , Gnandstein , Greifenhain , Hainichen , Hopfgarten , Jahnshain , Kitzscher , Kohren-Sahlis , Langenleuba-Oberhain , Mölbis , Narsdorf , Nauen Hain , Nenkersdorf , low Gräfenhain , low Steinbach , Obergräfenhain , Oelzschau , bones , Pötzschau , Prießnitz , Rathendorf , Roda , Steinbach , Syhra and Tautenhain .
For the 1994 state elections , the constituency structure was changed as a result of the district reform, and the number of constituencies was reduced from 80 to 60. The area of the constituency of Geithain - Borna II was divided into several constituencies. The communities of Breitenborn, Langenleuba-Oberhain and Niedersteinbach moved to the newly formed Mittweida district and thus to the Mittweida 2 constituency . The city of Bad Lausick and the municipality of Steinbach moved to the constituency of Muldental 2, while the remaining cities and municipalities were divided between the constituencies of Leipzig Land 1 and 2 .
