Roda is a district of the city of Frohburg in the district of Leipzig (Free State of Saxony ).

Roda is located southeast of Frohburg am Fischbach. The place belongs to the Kohrener Land .

history

The place Roda was under the jurisdiction of the Gnandstein manor until the 19th century . Roda was in the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Borna until 1856 . From 1856 the place belonged to the Frohburg court office and from 1875 to the Borna district administration .

Roda was assigned to the Geithain district in the Leipzig district during the second district reform of the GDR in 1952 , which was added to the Leipziger Land district in 1994 . The incorporation to Frohburg took place on January 1, 1999. Roda made use of the opportunity to form a local council.
